The ArkAsia Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and welfare of animals in need. Founded in 2022, our center is based in Bintan Island, located in the Riau Island Province of Indonesia. We provide a safe haven for over 100 animals, including domestic animals, primates, and wild animals who are orphaned, injured, abused, ex-laboratory animals, or unwanted pets.
Our mission is to provide shelter, rescue, rehabilitate, and provide sanctuary to animals who have been neglected or mistreated. At our center, we provide expert veterinary care, nutritious food, and a clean and comfortable environment for each animal.
In addition to providing care for animals in need, we also work to promote animal welfare in the local community. We offer education and awareness programs to help prevent animal abuse and neglect, and we work to raise public awareness of the importance of treating animals with kindness and compassion.
Our center is particularly focused on the welfare of primates, who often suffer as a result of the illegal pet trade and habitat loss. We provide specialized care for primates, including enrichment activities, socialization, and rehabilitation programs to help them return to the wild when possible.
